Does anyone know what the bolt diameter is for the VH45DE bellhousing to engine bolts? I know the thread pitch is 1.5 using a metric thread gauge. I don't have a tap large enough to fit into the back of the engine that I bought to use for measuring purposes. The biggest tap I have is 12mm.

Thanks, Matt

Did they change the bolt size in 1994 to the bolts that mount the transmission to the engine? I ask because when I was back at the yard the other day, I grabbed one of the bolts from the car I pulled the engine from so I had something to size. I found that the bolt will not fit through the hole in the engine stand bracket that you mount to the engine. The stand I am using is the same one that I had my other engine on a few years ago.

I ended up drilling the holes larger in the stand in order to use the bolts to hold the engine to it. I still don't know if they increased the size of the bolts in the later VH45s.
