I used Mazworx adapter and I am more than satisfied. If you buy the Mazworx adapter, you send them your bellhousing and they machine out a section the thickness of the adapter so that the adapter bolted to the transmission is the exact length of the transmission's stock bellhousing.

o ok. does the trans mount to anything besides the adapter? like is there any brackets on the bottom of the trans?

no, but that's how most cars are. It's only one bolt fewer than it would be bolting to a VG, but the bolts are twice the girth. There is another brackets that the OEM uses that can be modified to fit, but I didn't use it.

No modifying bellhousing, and can use all factory parts to make it work properly. Used this plate in my setup for the last 45k miles or so on my Q, and still going strong!

Those others are pretty expensive for a piece of CNC machined metal... elwesso has respectable products. I'm almost positive you have to use the Z32 Starter.

Wes, did you have to space the flywheel?

Yes regardless of what plate you use you will use a Z32 starter.

My plate uses the factory spacer behind the VH flex plate.

My plates will be going into production in about 3 weeks. They will hlf moon style kind of how one of the others on the market currently is. Our's too will require bell housing machining.

DRFTBLD- any particular reason you went with the mazworx style vs. anything else? Just because of the spacer issue?

THe spacer was the biggest reason behind that half moon style. Howeever when we did some load tests we got a little 'twisting' on the full circle style. Not saying yours and Xccessive's isn't good and not recommended, Just the one we created didn't have the same strength as what a half moon style did when under high load. We have ben testing and building based on the needs of our build, the VH45DETT set up and the HP it is going under. So with that in mind the spacer needed on the flywheel along with the location of the trans further back on a full circle adapter (every inch... or less... counts) was what made us go with the half moon.

Now that being said it does tick me off that all the Z32 transmission's will start to be hard to find in unmodified state if we are all having our bellhousings modified to fit these adapters.

Moreover - we are also going t be releaseing a template which you can take to any machine shop (or do it yourself) and have them machine down the bellhousing so that you can reduce costs and you don't need to ship the bellhousing anywhere.
