i see the q45 cas has 2 plugs i see one is a power & gnd feed but what si the other pins? whats 1deg and 90deg?ang does someone have full harness diagram?

Yeah I've got the full engine loom diagram, I keep forgetting to bring it in to work. Keep reminding me and I will !

the 2 plugs are for the main crank angle sensor and for the secondary... The main one (big connector) gives 360* signal, the small one gives 90* signal.

it basicly the same as any other nissan cas rb sr fj ca etc but it dosnt expain the other 3 pin plug, are you sure its required

basically this is how it works... The CAS has the 4 pin plug... Sigal 1 is the 90* signals, signal 2 is the 360* signals... the other 2 are obvious.

If for some reason the main crank angle sensor dies, the sub crank angle sensor is still operational... Its a seperate plug for essentially the same sensor, except it only gives the 90* pulses.....

Basically you dont have to have the other one hooked up. Its a fail-safe part so that if the main cas goes bad (they hardly ever do), granny could still drive her Q to the dealer to get fixed... If the main CAS is working properly, the other connector is not even being used.

on the later VH45s (94+) they had a single (7 pin) plug... The cas no longer says NISSAN on it, rather hitachi if memory serves... It has the roundish connector...
