Yeah it's removable... grab a piece of roundbar the same diameter as the inside diameter of the converter pilot bush (obviously very slight undersize so it can slide in easy enough), fill the cavity behind the bush with grease, then slide the roundbar into the hole and whack it with a hammer.

The instant compression of the grease behind the converter pilot bush should pop it straight out.

Failing that, slide hammer.

hydrallicing it out is a messy waste of time there is no air pocket directly behind the bush, it would be like pushing a car sideways. i just drilled it on both sides then wacked it with a chisel and pulled it out.the bush is in but now i have another problemthe crank isnt deep enough for the input shaft, i wont engage on the 1st of the 3 clutch plates enough, it only on the fist mm of it, as it bottoms out at the back of crank,im now stucki see i have optionsmill shaft down about 15mm so it fits in v8 engages all 3 plates and lines up starter, and proceed with welding v8 belhousing to vg one..

or switch to a spacer/adaptor, i cant afford the one on here but could make my own lots cheaper, and run extra long bolts which im worried about doing.. this will also upset the shifter location, and maybee my driveshaft

any ideas guys

Maybe not on yours but there was on mine, a gap of a few mm is enough for this to work, took about 15 seconds to do too. The converter pilot bush is nowhere near as deep as the cavity in the crank. Messy, what do you mean? It takes like 10 seconds to wipe the grease from the end of the crank and a couple of splatters from the floor or whatever.

Hmmm, sounds to me like machining down the input shaft is the way to go, proividing you can avoid it becoming dodgy. How long is the spigot shaft ?

Or you could just buy a pilot bushing remover and remove it in 2 seconds like I do.
