Hey guys,
We're getting a set of VH45 covers in to powder coat and it is some of the early models. Once in hand, we're going to see if we can figure out what type of plastic the inspection covers (?) are, but didn't know if any of you guys were familiar with the type of plastic they are off hand? We'd like to powder coat them, if possible, but need to know the type of plastic we are dealing with before they go into the oven. Any help on identifying the material and type would be great :) Thanks!

Thanks guys. The backs, and what looks like the top part of the front, seem to be plastic. We're going to run a test in the oven prior to coating - hopefully this will be one more plastic part we can coat in the Nissan world :)

I coated mine no problems. Baked them at 450 for an hour in a burn off cycle.

You should be good

Awesome! Thanks for the tip - we were going to do a slow ramp up to see what it'd take but that'll save us quite a bit of headache. BTW - your covers look great. Is that wrinkle red with wrinkle black?
