I know the vh 45 cams have a duration of 248 and I believe the lift was 10.5???

My question is do all 3 vh models states above have the same lift and duration?
Also if I am speaking correctly, from what have found and read the vh41 is a destroked vh45 and the heads and cams are the same size. Is this correct also?

Any insite will be helpful.
Thanks guys.

I cant say for sure but if I recall correctly vh45 and vh41 do have same heads and cams. vh41 is being a destroked version of vh45. I was subscribing to a thread back in a day on one of the Australian forums where a guy was doing a swap in either z32 or s13 (cant remember now) and he ended up using a vh41 and swapped the bottom end from the vh45. But I really can't remember about cams.

The reason I am interested in this is because I have a near completed VH45 swap into an S-Chasis and I have sources in Okinawa that are able to get parts. I am able to get JAPVH41 cams very cheap, if they fit and are a direct upgrade, this will be a good choice against the $1200 regrind

Why don't you just get a VH41 AWD style engine....

Well simple answer would be the fact I never heard of a vh45 AWD.

The rest would be that I bought a 94 vh45 with 47k miles on it Q45rexhs adaptor plate. And a jdm 96 300zx tt trans with 30k on it for 300. So for around 1200 I have a strong 5 speed rwd vh45.

That's good shopping

Back to topic at hand though.

Cams.

Being a new member, don't think you'll get any detail on this assistance without whetting the palate of our q45 aficionados with some car p0rn.

(that'd be photos)

Sounds like a fun project, I don't have your answers but someone here does.
