Well after months of deliberation, I FINALLY have a set of adapter plates ready to go! I talked to my machine shop and they finished the plate up this week, and I will pick them up next thursday when I am in town. The plates should be ready to ship by Dec 27, assuming that all goes smoothly with getting the hardware which I see no issues with..

The price is $275 shipped to the lower 48, anywhere else the buyer will pay actual shipping costs.

The kit includes the following:

1 Adapter Plate
5 M14xM10x1.5 threaded inserts
5 M10x1.5-40mm socket cap screws
9 M10x1.5-90mm socket cap screws
9 M10x1.5 Nylon Locking Hex Nuts

Here is a picture of the plate with its hardware.

As some of you may have read, my first run of adapter plates did not go as well as I hoped. There were a few holes that were misaligned causing some difficulty with install. THOSE ISSUES have been addressed and to the best of my knowledge fixed.

What is required for installation is you must weld the M10x90mm screws onto the back of the adapter plate. I have considered offering a pre-welded version, however most people that are going to be using an adapter plate would typically have the ability to weld these in place, and I have not currently had anyone ask me to offer a pre-welded version... My thoughts are if anyone is going to be using this in a swap, they should have enough fabrication capabilities to do this.

I will include suggestions on how to properly weld the screws to the plate to minimize installation issues, which many people were experiencing with the first run.

READ HERE

DO BUY THIS ADAPTER PLATE IF:

You want to save a little money over Mazworx
You want to have a stronger piece than Mazworx
You do not want to machine the bellhousing of your trans

DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER PLATE IF:

You expect a 100% perfect, bolt on piece
You do not want to do any fabrication work yourself to make this work

THE BOTTOM LINE

I think everyone can agree that having a full circle shaped STEEL adapter that can utilize the factory engine braces on the lower end will be a stronger solution than an aluminum half circle.

I am not doing these things to make money. After shipping for hardware, and shipping the kits to you, I don't really make much money on this. However my product seems to be a popular item and I would like to offer it to those who would like to utilize it...

Please use the contact info on Q45.org to get ahold of me. I'll be available via phone all weekend or email.

Hmm if thats the case, then by all means.. I didnt realize the JDM VH41 had the same bolt pattern! Like mentioned in that thread, it obviously doesnt matter that the starter is on the opposite side since the Z32 starter is mounted on the gearbox.. :)

Will this adapter plate work with a z32 NA auto transmission? I plan to swap in a 5-speed but was hoping this would work for the time being.

Yep the bolt patterns for the TT and N/A trans are the same. I used this plate with a N/A trans which I have in my Q.
