Im sorry to bother you guys but im in the begining stages of a big project.you can skip over this next part until you see a line going across... its realy just background info.

Alright so i own a 2005 nissan sentra se-r which comes with the qr25de. well i didn't exactly appreciate its performace enough to leave well enough alone. so i have been tinkering with it for the last 4 years. Ive completely redone the suspension including fully adjustable coilovers and swaybars. now i have started to move into the engine. there is only one problem... i keep frying ecu's so i decided to go with a fully standalone engine managment system(megasquirt2). in doing that i need to replace my drive by wire throttle with one that is a little more "old school" and bigger...among a multitude of different things-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------what i realy need to know is if a vh45 throttle has any strange electronic components and if it has idle adjust screws... if it is too computerized i cannot use it... i realy would appreciate the help guys.

Unfortunately the diameter of a throttle body has little to do with performance as Nissan uses the 1% rule to select diameters of everything from plenum thru MAF and out to atmosphere.Measure the inside plenum pressure [loss from 14.7 psi] at WOT 6,000 rpm to see exactly how much everything is losing. I expect the pressure will be 14.0 psi [corrected for local barometer offset]. Something like <4% total loss.

How will you pass emission inspection [OBDII] and be in compliance with Federal non tampering rules?

im realy not worried about emission because this is a race car and woln't be on the street...After i get done, im thinking im going to need the bigger throttle body.I plan on boring out the motor to 92mm making it a 2.7l with the cams and headwork i plan on getting ,and possibly going turbo, i would think that would have alot to do with the volume of air coming into the engine. If i decide to do this then im getting a custom manifold anyway so that it will be able to move more air... i was just wonderinga. if idle adjustment is on this throttle body or do i need some type of separate iac.b. that this is a completely cable driven throttle body on some of the older engines.so no ecu control over the tb(cruse control doesn't matter because i wouldn't have to hook the cable up)Realy just give me an overview of a vh45 tb and i will be happy
