Alrighty I have an S13 with a '95 VH45 with 86k on it. Mazworx headers, stock other than basic bolt ons needed for getting it into 240. I am planning on hitting up all of the Midwest Drift Union events in 2012, and I was just wondering if you guys knew of anything I could do to it in order to help it survive the sustained abuse of sliding sideways bouncing off the rev limiter constantly.

With the SR we run more oil (pan, cooler, relocation). On the VH is there any way to relocate the oil filter? Or any way to plumb in an oil cooler? Also is the stock oil pan good enough?

Thanks!

Add extra oil. 1/2 quart should do.

If you can add the following:
Accusump or preluber of some sort
Oil Cooler
PS cooler

Stock oil pan is fine, Just make sure that it isn't dented so that the oil pick up is ok.

You can weld on fittings to relocate the oil adapter or by feb I should have my adapters on the market.

If you could make a bolt on type of adapter like the current SR/KA/RB stuff out there I would buy it in a heartbeat. Hopefully with -10 AN in and out so I could run the cooler inline to the filter.

Just like drftbld said at a minimum 1/2 qt of oil. If you are doing a oil relocation and cooler and have the cash an accusump would be great. Also I think the few people who did a relocation/cooler wished they had used 12an lines instead of 10. If you cut the oem filter holder you see the size of the ports and its diameter matches better with a 12an. I'm not sure if drftbld's adapter would provide a choice. I will be using all 12an size for my relocate and cooler.

I'm building the adapters to fit only -12an fittings. As you said -10 is just to small.

As for the Accusump, I made my own and did ti for under $50. it can be done.

That is just one article about it but you can search DIY Oil Accumulators and find a ton on it.

dry sump definitley(if you can afford it)
i recently got some good input from an engine builder who has built many vh41s(30 of them) running in stock cars and he said its the only way to go to have true confidence the bearings wont spin.
i told him i got no money and all he could recommend was to run a Fram HP4 or equivalent no oil cooler whats so ever and decent big remote oil lines.
im already running a 10l sump.
he told me the vh41s he builds last season after season pulling up to 9000rpm easily and never sees damaged bearings.
