Any help would be greatly appreciatedCheers Tobias

Yes, I can do them no problem.The ones on my car are solid though as its a bit of a racer, not sure if that's what you're after or not?

Email is probably easiest.I should be going over to do some work on the car this weekend, so can hopefully get the jigs for the mounts made up then.

I am interested in mounts too. I have a 1990 Z32 coupe with the VG30DE and, even more unfortunately, an A/T. This is my first car with and automatic transmission and I will never buy one again.

Anyway I have been thinking for a while now to go to another engine swap like perhaps a VQ35DE due to the light-weight aluminum block but the cost is still very high. The VH45DE makes a lot of sense but there haven't been too many people doing things with it yet.

I would be interested in mounts for a Z32 also.

I'm gonna have to ressurect this. Does anyone make Z32 mounts for the VH45DE? I know it has a lot to do with which trans you use, etc.. but it would be money if someone like McKinney Motorsports (famous for RB into s-chassis mount kits) would make a set of mounts and trans adapter. Because then you would see a whole lot more aftermarket parts since the fitment would be finalized.

That would save me tons of time and money. I don't have a lot of fabrication tools and time to have this car sit off the road during the swap. Maybe those are arguments why I should NOT be doing this swap

Here they are. Factory on the left, new and improved on the right:). It turned out both of mine are the same within about 3-5mm at the mount stud so would almost fit either side at5a nudge, pretty hardcase. I ended up using nolathane mounts designed for Cortina 71-77 MK3 2.0L, 3.3L, 4.1L, Repco # MT8156N (black nolathane). They are 70mm diameter and 35mm thick using 10mm stud. A similar one is also used for MK4 6cyl but are 2mm thicker which if u sorted the angles will also be cool. They are cheap, infact i bought 4 so I can convert my z32 factory mounts since they always break when given arseholes.

They look well built, although they do look like alloy.... :/ are they?Also have you tried fitting them yet, as without a locating pin (as per factory) and an elongated mount hole, you may find them "non conforming" to your wishes.anyways best of luck and let me know how they go for fitting..P.S. did you draw up some templates so we can do the slack approach and copy yours :P

ok ive just figured they're alloy, as per my previous assumption you must be a Welder or similar by trade?

The elongated hole is in the zed crossmember, and have pulled them in and out a few times doing the trial. They work mint, but I had to slightly oversize the hole in the mount so that I can more easily remove/ replace in situ. Dont need the mounting dowel as the ford mounts are symmetrical, and managed to do up the locknuts without them spinning, maybe its just the weight of the engine on them, or I held them, cant remember but piece of piss. i havent shown the heat guards, as i used the factory ones and modded them so the mounts wont get cooked if the zorst gets too close to them. I havent got templates but can forward on any measurements, all depending on where your engine sits in yours longitudinally. Havent really got time to make them again, though could probably get someone to copy them out of steel quite cheap (in NZ $ and all).

Tig, as thats all we have at work. Mig would be HEAPS quicker, and appearance (v's tig) wouldnt be too critical being way down there. I am looking at buying a mig but just waiting foir a deal to come up:)I will posta better closer up pic with measurements to go off. Quite straight forward and will only mean moving the main centre bit back or forward on main plate depending on exact engine location. Here are a couple more pics which I emailed to a mate who makes good headers, and I'm too lazy...Big new years so hitting the sack now. Will give measurements nexttime im on here

You are the man! Looks pretty good considering the tight Z32 engine compartment.

The 60mm wide piece started off as a 180mm x 60mm length where I ground a slot to bend on that angle. However it turned to **** on the crease even though I had slotted it, just this tough ali isnt forgiving with tight bends hence the welds both top and bottom. So if u use steel u should be able to use a 180mm length just bent to suit the angles. To get the angles exact u will probably need to tack in situ. I didnt measure those, just made suit whilke bolted up. I marked and put good tacks on the main rectangle bit and the main outy bit....slightly bent to the right place then made and welded on the side plates. I did the same design on both as one mount is easy to get from the front and one from the rear making the studs very accessible.Thats enough typing and time at the mo. Good luck.Hope this helps.

I'm curious if you were able to clear the hood up top with these mounts and the sump down below?

The mani I made just clears..only just. A factory one would still hit I reckon. As for the sump I had to make a rear buldge, as there was no way the factory front sump was gonna work in the zed. (currently getting headers done)

@ultrapulse:

I know this is a long time past the last post, but was hoping to resurrect a bit to discuss. I just picked up a 93 N/A Z32 and am planning a VH45 swap. Wanted to see how yours went and how the headers fit with the motor mounts above?
