Well after watching my brother continuously destroy me with his turboed VH45 skyline even when i tried a bucket load of nitrous and still getting a** wipped completely melting my s 304 injected GM motor in the process im stealing one of his rooted VH45s throwing away the dirty iron monger push rod motor and mounting it in its place , now i need some undersize bearings and tried searching forums but couldnt actually find who supplies them? Can anyone tell me if i can source in New Zealand, or in the States? or Australia?
Also not to drag up old threads but will the stock ECU run without the auto?
I could be rough and modify the GM ECU to run but its bank injection and rubbish, any help greatly appreciated.

Haha good choice man!

Try Segedin's Truck & Auto parts in auckland (STA), they've sorted me out with rebuild bits and also had the option for undersized bearings.

And the ECU should run sweet without auto, just be sure to wire the inhibitor switch wiring either into permanent neutral, or if you wanted to be fussy you could make some kind of switching setup & take advantage of the individual fuel & ign maps for each gear.

There is also a good thread on Performance Forums with a guy putting a VH45 into a VK with a turbo. I think he's in Sydney. It's pretty tight and it needed a bit of work to fit in.

My mate's fitting a VH41DE into his VL commodore, to my knowledge the engine bays are more or less the same. The VH41DE is a bit more compact than the VH45DE, but not by too much. Check out some pics here to get an idea of fitment:
