Ok i have my VH45 with the Mazworks 5speed adapter plate. i did not send my bell housing in for machine due to cost of shipping. Now when i bolt up the transmission, i use an upgraded 300zx N/A flywheel and the stock flywheel spacer from the VH45. Now my problem is that the flywheel is not lining up in the proper spot for the starter to catch, to be exact, the flywheel needs to be moved in another half an inch to be in the proper spot. So what choices, or route do i need to go to have it line up correctly?

Well no duh it doesn't fit you're using a Mazworx adapter and no machining, they were made to go hand in hand lol

What you can do? I'm sure you can make a sort of spacer for the flywheel like xcessive does, or get the bellhousing machined, I'd choose the latter

Get the machining done :). If worse comes to worse, Im sure a local machine shop can do it. But since they dont have the fixture or anything, it will probably cost just as much to do. And with Mazworks doing the machining, you know its done 100% correct.

If you dont have enough money, then I would suggest working the corner for a night or two.

yea i was thinking about have a local shop do the work, all that needs to be done is have a half inch taken out of the upper half of the bellhousing to match with the adapter plate. the problem with sending it to mazworks, means i would have to strip the transmission down, then ship off the bellhouing, pay for shipping back and cost of machining. i rather leave it on and just have a local shop doing it. cost o f machining isnt the issue but dismantle and shipping of the trans itself is.

does this also mean that the input shaft and also the clutch fork/throw out bearing are also 1/2 inch off as well and might cause clutch disengagement problems?
