hello everyone ,im new to the VH part of nicoclub , i have an s13 with a ca18det on it but im kinda feed up with no low end torque, and i found an engine (VH41DE)in my country ,which is weird since we dont have the cars that the engine came on.the engine is complete nothing missing (thats to my knowlage).i has written on it Y32 ,but i dont know if its true(because it has a goldish plaque on the intake manifold),the ECU the the engine came with is :A18-000-K55.
if any one can know wat year or specs id be thank full.
i want to know wat i would be facing ,if i begin with the swap .
i know obvoius problems the sawp has like:
spacer of starter
plate of the vh vg trany
relocate oil filter
radiator ,fans
engine n transmission mounts
smaller brake booster
drive shaft
,thats i wat remember for now
im a bit worried about the wiring ,since i dont know if the ecu i have has an immobilizer ,and i have no clue how to bypass all comands of the auto trany ,when fitting the mannual gearbox.and tuning the old vh41 ecu is easier i have read ,and alot harder for the newer.
do i need too change my diff ,i see most people are changing it putting the zx diff.i have mine welded!
help me with my swap :wavey:

Hey what country r u in?? i am currently fitting y32 vh41 to an r31 pintara and making my own adaptor for z32 box. wiring is pretty straight forward i have had mine running with only 4 odd wires need connecting on engine loom to fire it up lol so no immob to worry about. vh41 fits s13 pretty easy. will also depend if your rhd or lhd?? oil filter will clear without moving.

link to guy that did vh41de n auto into s13 in australia which is where i am from.

i am in the middle east, Lebanon.its great to know that the wiring is easy and no immob, but since ur also making a vh41 with z32 trany ,wat will do with the ecu ?from my experiance with my CA18 ,i have it manual, and i used to have a auto ecu on it(by mistake),and that made the car have fuel cuts on 3rd ,4th ,5th.i read some where in vh swap ,a guy bypassed the comands of the auto in the ecu!? :wtf2:
the ecu that came with the engine is :23710 16Y00

not 100% sure about the vh41 ecu yet but ive had 2 other nissans converted to manual and running the auto ecu and they were fine. I think the fuel cut issue your describing is caused when the ecu has no speed signal from the speed sensor. Not overly sure though I will find out eventualy when I get the car running lol.

i have finally decided to go with the VH41DE swap,i bought the engine , its from a y32 ,it looks clean (no rust , the aluminum still has a light color from inside the engine).i have a couple of questions ,if any one can help!
the engine i bought doesn't have a MAF ,wat can i use instead ?!(the plug has 3 pins)
im thinking of goin z33 transmission (2005 or above model),does the flywheel of the VQ bolt up with the VH?
how many oxgen sensor does the y32 have?
and nissman77 u told me it took u 4 wire to let it start up ,can u help with that ?!
