Does anybody know how much (if any) the Q45 dash divides the speed signal by before it sends to the ECU? I need to work this out to make the auto work in the Mercedes.

I'm not sure how to answer your question but I have seen several different nissan speedometers in my experience and all of them seemed to have this silkscreened on their gauge faces (in an area that is not visible because the decorative plastic trim overlay covers it:

1024 RPM = 60MPH

Now I am not sure if they mean the speedo signal coming off of the trans is calibrated such that 1024 RPM (or ~17.07Hz) corresponds to 60MPH or what?

Good luck and if anyone else has the answer I am curious too!

I know the 1UZ-FE's speed signal is divided by five before it gets to the ECU. The Merc doesn't have a speed signal out from the cluster so I'll have to make a divider and somehow keep adjusting it until it all seems right.
