nothing has changed.qsiguy wrote:ssautochrome doesn't exactly have the best reputation for quality products. I recall them selling cheap chinese turbos on ebay that everyone said were blowing up. Has something changed that I'm not aware of?
FWIW, a proper set of headers will cost you between 400 and 500 in materials. Add in consumables like welding gas and wire, your time, and the Maz headers become very attractive.EMK wrote:Please do headers for an s13 s14.... Please!!! You'd have several buyers here I'm sure. $900 mazworx headers are the reason most guys who've done it make there own.
SOOOOOO true, you get what you pay for. Stuff like this you realy wont get away with it going cheap. This is something that if done properly (which i guess it is) will cost a fair bit. Pay a good price now and have fun with for many years later. If you go cheap it may crack/warp and you will have a nightmare with it then you will pay again when buying good quality. So you end up paying twice.SuperHatch wrote:

I also believe "most" people who have done this swap used the Maz headers. There are probable 10-20 (at a minimum) more VH 240's running around than the ones on this forum, all using Mazworx stuff.
I agree competition is essential. But quality is extremely important is all i was saying. Anybody you wants to put there hand up and have a go i say go for it. (As long as its not made in China)EMK wrote:Regardless of your warnings for quality. It would still be better to have another ready made option to choose from. I don't see how bashing their previous products helps at all. Not only does it discourage competition (bad economics) but it leaves you with 2 options buy mazworx or make it yourself. I personally disagree heavily with the idea that one will pay 500 for materials and consumables for headers. I personally know that I could buy enough tubing to make 2 full exhausts for that. Not everyones experience I'm sure but I can do better.
Anyway before I get back to the whole reason why bashing a potential supplier is bad let me just say this. Regardless of quality or price more competition equals a better product at the lowest possible price for the consumer.
At last read there were still 3 people who weren't appalled at the idea of ssautochrome headers for a vh and all of us seem to perfer it be offered for swaps. Do I still need to send someone and email? Or does this post pretty much say it.
Built it any they will come
I can vouch for this... Materials for my headers cost around 400 alone..SuperHatch wrote:

Even if it doesn't work? Seems to be a lot of bad experience with this company.EMK wrote:Regardless of your warnings for quality. It would still be better to have another ready made option to choose from.
