I read a lot of topics for VG33

And I found here a lot of great way for unleashing the power hidden in these strong block. Ex; boring, supercharging, heads, etc...

But I want to know where I can put these motors. In what car will they fit?Am I condemned of using them in path, frontier, or can I put a VG33 in a Z32, Z31?

I have a VG33 stock out of a 99 path And I can put my hands on a 300Z 93-94 not absolutely sure yet. The Z is in great shape but there is no engine.

I could mod the VG33 and get the most out fo it, but before I want to know if the mounts are the same ? Maybe someone know if the size is OK for a 33 in a Z.??

Before putting money in there I want to know if someone think It can be done.

i'm sure you'll find someone on here that knows way more than i do, but ive put a few motors where they didnt belong before. what i always had to work around was the difference in wieght, the wiring harness, room, driveshaft (lengh and splinded right) and steering shaft.

before i did anything i had measured , extensivly. =) hope i helped a little bit

if you use the z31's engine harness spliced to the vg33, its a straight drop in. might have to change the pan, exhaust, TB, the usual. VG33 is a VG30 with a bigger bore and thicker cylinder walls.

VG33's are pretty much bolt-on in a z31 after you swap accessories and crankshaft:
