i have a good running 87 auto vg30et motor with everthing included even the auto transmission but i want to use my ka24e transmission.

my FSM for my s12 vg30e shows that the ka24e and vg30e have the same transmission code

fs5w71c

has anyone done it? can there be differences between the same transmission code?

it can have the same transmission code, but different bellhousing bolt pattern.

at least you could use the bellhousing from a VG manual transmission on your KA transmission.

cuz the bell houseing looks to be the same (from the outside)
