OK so I swapped out the block and pistons. I also used some vg33 heads from some vg33 models.

All the externals and internals so far are 90-95 Hardbody/Pathfinder parts. Except as noted:

vg33 injectors (no one knows the size)
vg30 plenum and tb
stock maf

OK so the engine is running pretty good, but there is delay in take off. More noticable when colder. Not as perky as stock. But has more power.

So should I upgrade my tb from 52mm to the 62mm vg33? Not a bolt on since the plenums are different but intakes are same part number on both

Upgrade the MAF to a vg33 version?
Or stick on a 82mm (q45 TB) OD is 90mm but butterfly I read is 82mm.
Or do both?

I know lots of people do the vg33 upgrade. But I dont want all the vg33 obdII stuff. I just want the throttle response back. Feels like it is just choking for air. Did pass smog though. :rotflmao

Well I added a vg33 MAF from a R50. Also added a wideband O2 to monitor AFR. With the r50 MAF the engine will not idle and is real lean. 16-18 afr.

So I ordered a APEXI SAFC to try to tune this.
