Its possible, though the better route would be the VG33E as, not only did it come stock in those models, but it makes more power than the VG30E. That would probably be the easiest route.

The only major problems I can see happening is the accessories not lining up properly. Even if they are in the same location as the VG33 powered truck as far as what side of the engine, the VG33 has a different crank which uses a different crank pulley and there's a chance you may not be able to find one for a VG30 that matches the location of the accessories.

Accessory brackets is another issue. They may bolt to the VG30 but it comes back to that problem of them lining up with the crank pulley. There might be a slight chance you could use a VG30E crank pulley with VG30E accessory brackets using the truck's accessories (would have to match locations with the various VG30E accessory brackets out there). That could definitely be a pain and make the swap not worth it.

There might be a few other things like motor mount locations (not likely I think) but I've not seen enough swaps like VG30->VG33 and vise versa to know what all of the differences may be.

Basically I'm just trying to say that it could a lot more work to get the VG30 in there than you may be willing to do (compared to the VG33). Your truck may be down for quite a while basically.
