VG30E my transmission is about to blow. what types of trannys can i use

ok i have a 90 maxima with a Automatic transmission. my transmission is about to blow i have around a month left if i baby it, i am wondering what type of trannsmissions i could use?

Pretty much your only options are with the transmissions available in the 89-94 Maxima's which include the automatic transmissions and the 5-speed transmissions. The 92-94 5-speed was on the VE30DE but the bolt pattern is the same, however, the axles and hubs are a bit different as the axles are larger. That transmission also had the option of being equipped with a viscous limited slip differential.

ok i was thinking about going with a bigger transmission in an automatic. so the only way to get a five speed in there would be to go with a stick off of a model from 89-94

i was thinking that i could possibly try to put in a five or six speed auto. so u think the only way to go with a 5 speed is to go manual

Yeah, the only way to go 5-speed would be with the manual transmission.
