Does anyone know the differences internally between the vg30e and vg30et or how much a vg30e is capable of handling? I would be happy to have around 250-300 h.p. out of my 84 z31 but not sure if it can handle the boost on the vg30e. I searched and couldnt come up with anything so if anyone can help it is greatly appreciated.

Pistons is all that's different. A number of people have pushed stock VG30E motors to over 400 rwhp. Just gotta make sure you have the fuel to do it.

I seem to reall 7-10 psi being safe on those without any additional mods, now with a boost referenced timing retard and a good knock sensor and a good stand alone I'd think the block could take a good bit more
