was wondering if mabey it was possable to put a vg30dett into a 240. with the twin turbos and make them dual stage turbos. one smaller for low rmps and a lager one for high rpms. and instead of having two seprate intercoolers mabey just have one a$$ one with two holes on each side. or would the stock intercoolers be enough to handle high boost.

The DETT is too big to fit in a 240 without tons and tons of modification to the frame.

really? i thought that it would fit, it's just that no one did because of the hasel to building a Z32 engine up? NOt only that there would absoultly no room to work. You'll have just enough space to put the engine in.

Sure, get dual stage turbos.

I hope you realize this is not a Supra or an FD where all the compressed air goes into one intake collector. VG30DETT's have two intake collectors, two throttle bodies, two plenums.... In this case, it is literally two inline three cylinder engines thrown together.

dual stage turbos won't work on a VG30 like they would on a 13b or a 2JZ.

why does everyone want to waste money with elaborate swaps when you can get an sr for cheap and tune the hell out of it. between this and that guy with the chevy engine, i just dont' know what everyone is thinking these days.

And the KA is free :)

And after helping pulling and tearing down the vg30dett in my friends z32 to find a beautifully damaged piston (its unlike anything ive ever seen its.... wonderfully horrible) last night and tonight.... You dont want one. Its hellish in a Z32 alone, thats all you should really look at. This is from a rather stripped vg, in a top 3rd fastest stock turbo z32, in the US..

Then again if you are loaded, pay other people to do you stuff, and dont mind long long periods of downtime go for it.. But even with ballance tubes the whole dual stage junk doesnt fly as stated..

you do not have to modfy the frame to the 240

there is no frame on the 240.
