vg30dett vs rb25dett

soo my dream ride is the garage miniz 720. i would love to be able to put a rb in my datsun but i dont want to have to cut the firewall. i think a vg30dett would be a pretty good swap and would be easier.

can someone give me some advice or knowhow on these swaps?

The RB is too long to install properly without cutting the firewall. The VG is a good possibility but remember that custom fabbed engine mounts and such are a necessity, and that no 720 is ready for the power of either of those swaps without some bracing!

if i do the vg do u think the shifter would be in the rite spot if i use the trans aswell
what about axles? can i use the older slimmer 300zx or 240 axles? really want to build something cool and that surprises people.

Yeah. the shifter would fall in place. I wouldn't change the axles, these take a hell of a lot of beating and doesn't break. You can use the rear discs from an izusu suv for a difference. Can't remember on whose post I saw that conversion but I know its on this site.
