there was some talk of a stroker on Z31.com years ago when the 3.3 was introduced in 98? (wow I been doing this too long) I can't remember what the stroke bore differences are in each model but if your looking for more displacement why not just overbore and get custom pistons to whatever compression you'd like, I seem to recall the stroker discussion was for N/A cars so it was likely for them to get higher comp ratio with the stock pistons, also remember that a shorter stroke is gonna rev more quickly which is why I decided to stay away from the LD28 crank on my motor

and of course that was for the VG30E blocks, not sure if anyone ever did it but the crank snouts are a bit different from the VG30E to the VG30DE blocks not sure which block it would fit better

I don't believe that the vg33 or vg35 crank can just be dropped in. I know JUN makes a stroker kit for the Z32 that is pretty insane but is backed with an equally insane price tag. I am curious though as to the possibilities. Let me know if you find anything out.

vg33 crank is direct drop in, or for the NA guys just get the vg33 bottom end and slap the Z's heads on it for a vg33de that is also a direct swap.

You can have a custom crank made for a couple grand. You can have custom rods and pistons made too, so that would be the way to go. Displacement is priceless.

Have you got any further information on this?I've been considering the VG33 bottom-end swap, but I was under the impression the DOHC swap was not really doable.

If I could do both...my little VG30E's got at least 100k miles left in her...I'd appreciate any additional info you have on either.

Are there differences between the longitudinal and transverse VG? If so, will the VG33 crank still drop into my longitudinal VG30 (from a 93 Maxima).

A VG3?DE powered Max would rock, and be a lot cheaper than a VQ swap if this is really possible.

Finally, the VG33 and VG30 did not have the same bore, correct? Does anyone know what the displacement of a VG30 using a VG33 crankshaft is? Or does it still come out to 3.3?
