VG30DETT in Maxima (VG30) transmission (or Quest)

In other word, is it possiible to get VG30DETT in transverse drivetrain ?

I am working on a school project. The engine will be at the rear of the frame. That's is why I need FF layout, but will like to use VG30DETT because of the stock HP

The problem is not the transmission bolting up to it, which I believe it will. The issue is getting a TT motor mounted under the hood of a Maxima. There's not enought room.

There won't be any room issue. Is not going into any production car.It will be a custom frame for the engine.

Even if the maxima VE bellhousing won't, the maxima VG bellhousing should.

The transmission will bolt on. I'm assuming you are going to be using a 3rd or a 4th gen for this setup? Good luck getting the engine to fit. I don't mean only hood clearance... I also mean just getting it to fit in the engine bay... You might have to swap the TT for a single turbo setup.You might want to check [url[forums.maxima.org[/url]. There's a couple of guys there that are running VG30ET's in their 3rd gen. However expect to get flamed for asking about the VG30DETT swap... A bunch of kids seem to join and ask the same question or the ever popular "Hi, I'm 16 and I just got an automatic Maxima. Me and my boy are gonna swap in an RB26DETT, convert it to RWD and push 700+hp... Does anyone have a walkthrough for the installation?"
