VG30DETT in a S13

alright.. i searched and couldnt find too much on this, my friend is offerin a VG30DETT engine to me. what i need to know is how hard will it be to put this into my 240sx (1991 fastback). if anyone has any info on this please give me a link or somthing..

really hard. unless you have a shop and are a very very good tech, don't attempt. if you do find away to do it, there will be little maybe no room for upgrades

I've heard that it fits...but it will be VERY cramped in your engine bay, but hey if you have the resources go for it!

Talk to Mattback he would know the best. He bought the VG kit from U-H and is pursuing this. Frank says by august matt, I hope hes right.

Mattback has an ET, not DETT, its larger.

I've seen a pic of an S13 with it in there. . MAY have been a VG30DET tho. .

Was convertible, and mag was in Japanese so I could get no details. . also, needed a different hood. . but it was cool.

yeah that was another problem with the swap when i was looking into it, you need a different/custom hood b/c teh engine is so big compared to the car

Mattback may have the ET but the kit he was offering awhile back will work for the DETT too.
