Didn't test fit the bumper, But I did lower the front and take one collar off, so now its not raked anymore, for now. I still gotta modify some stuffs around and lower it some more, but its getting close to the correct fitment, just need fenders son!

Nothing worth pictures till this weekend when i test fit a vg30 in there, because I need to test fit it before i get my motor back for 1 reason:

I DON'T KNOW IF THE TURBO WILL FIT ON THE DRIVER SIDE :/

If it doesn't, I'm going to make an adapter that will mount both turbos up front farther in front of the motor because i'm not making it single turbo ever.

I also finished wiring the vg30dett harness and stuff, working on a bit more wiring and once the motors finished it should be turn key for sureeeee

This thing is going to be sick! That turbo is the one thing I am worried about. I am sure you will get it figured out though! I am ready to see some pics of this beast mounted.

The motor and clearances will be shown tonight, the truth will be revieled, but i'm not worried at all if they fit or not, i'll just remote mount them somewhere else.

I am probably more excited than you to see the fitment. I have wanted to do this for a while but honestly my balls weren't big enough to jump into it without a little more insight. I think it is time I start saving and shopping for a motor. Hmm.. perhaps my tax return could fund this. :bowrofl:

Haha, work like this isn't much for me, I've seen them in 240's before but Never with the xcessive kit, that's my only worry.

So everyone can clear the air on this, factory n/a vg30 fits great, twin turbo vg30 fits nothing. :/

I gotta relocate the turbos, not hard, but i wanted to keep it all oem, oh well, s*** gonna get rediculous here pretty soon, so keep a watch :)

Yeah, the motor itself fits really nicely, I like it, this mock up motor gives me motivation to wire my car among other things. the turbos are going to get rerouted hopefully next week or two, i gotta order the flanges and stuff and get'er done, I'm hopeing to have 2.5ft or less of intercooler piping with the setup i'm planning.

It looks like it belongs in there. Sucks about the turbo fitment I was pretty worried about all that crap. Sounds like just a little more fab work and you will have her in there! There is a ton of room on the front of that motor, way more than ka or sr.

Very much so, that's why were doing a mid mount intercooler setup, I'm looking to have the shortest vg30 piping ever.

I bet it would be a ton easier to convert to a single turbo rather than running twins. I know that is not at all what you are wanting to do but I am thinking pretty damn hard about it. Man you are really inspiring me to start ripping apart my car. Which is good and bad considering it runs and drives perfect right now lol.

^hahahaa Yeah, I know single would probably be easier, but I want the response and spool time of twin turbo, and when i started this i said i was keeping the vg30 twin.

Yeah, I'll either be doing a v mount setup or a mid mount setup, but i'm leaning twards a mid because of the size core i gotta run for twin turbo, possibly.

Right now I finished the wiring harness for the motor, now working on making my body harness and slowly tearing this vg apart, it's actually a customers vg(he knows i'm using it, he helped me put it in. lol), so i'm installing a new water pump, a 120k timing kit, and freshing up the motor with new deutchwerks injectors and such.

Image

and let me just tell you this, I've never liked a vg30 more than i have when its in an s chassis, I even think i would have been happy with an n/a for a wile. haha

You are really not helping me talk myself out of this lol. I was actually considering doing the NA swap for now just for fundage purposes and then switching to turbo later and throw the NA in a daily driver or sell it.

The n/as and tt's are the exact same motors except the pistons are lower compression, everything else is the same from what i'm told, so you wouldn't even have to do it. and n/a vg30 ares pretty cheap considering a motor swap, and xcessive sells the entire kit and its pretty much perfect
