hey everyone, i was wondering is it possible to use the vg30det turbo on a ca18det. if so is it a direct bolt on and would it provide noticable power over the stock turbo? any help appreciated thanks.

it's not bigger if at all than a CA OEM turbo, skip it.

you mean vg30dett? I have one sitting 4 feet from me, its the EXACT same size as a stock CA and the bolt pattern of the dump pipe is like 1/8th inch different sized.

BUT, an 87-88 VG30ET is a T3/T4 of some sort.

Maybe he thought it would be bigger cuz the VG30DETT is 3 litres. Too bad each turbo is only responsible for one 1.5 litre bank.
