VG30DET swapt with a VG30DETT, is it possible?

1988 300 ZX what mods would need to be made if i where to swap the JDM VG30DETT, or is their a better option for that year make and model? I am also looking at the rb35det or maybe even an sr20 but i dont know if the down sizeing in clyinder #'s is the right choice, any insight would be a great help thank you.

look around, there si a guy here that documented the rb25 swap in to a Z31 and az-zbum has a site listing about every swap some with lots of details, as for the VG30DETT I have to recomend against it, it's a huge PITA to work on, even with the whole engine out of the car the turbo's are a PITA to replace, and yeah the SR is just loosing way too much displacement

I've seen a VG30DETT in a Z31...involved swap, but great motor.

I gotta say, after replacing the VG30DETT in my Z32 it's reaffirmed my love of the L6, looks like ti would be a heck of a lot easier to go throught he bottom, or a full custom wire harness with a standalone to simplify the wiring
