VG30DET swap into an s14?

Hey guys, first time poster here. I have spent the last few days reading up here to make sure my questions aren't already answered. Anyway, I used to be big into 300zx's, I have had several. I am getting past that now, and I have fallen in love with a particular 95 240sx. If I do get this car, I will be swapping a 6 cylinder into it, just not sure what motor yet. I happen to have an almost completely built VG30et motor from an 85 300zx here. Its been completely worked over, bored, stroked, forged and cryo'd parts, basically a vg30 done all the way. So, I was wondering, will it fit into a 240? I know there was a 200sx in the late eighties with a vg motor. The s14 is bigger than the 200sx right? I also have the transmission, which just got rebuilt. Will these fit into an s14? Thanks!

In theory you can make any rwd motor fit into any rwd car, it just depends on how much work you want to do. But if people have stuffed v8's under the hoods of 240s then i dont see why you couldn't swap your 300zx motor. Good luck, post pics

Thanks for the reply. I have done some studying, I think it may be pretty easy. Just not quite sure if the z31 transmission will fit in there. I have mounts and all from a z31. Once I buy the s14 I will start looking into it. Anyone know of somewhere to get a custom wiring harness built?
