i believe the 210 has a smaller engine bay than 510...atleast i thought it did...510 needs cutting done to make vg30det fit 210 will prolly need it also...id go with sr20det ka24 or ca18det..great motors fit realitively easily and plenty of power

the 510 doesnt need ANY cutting to fit a VG30DETT in it......its just a bloody tight sqeeze.so, no, without lots of cutting, it wont fit in a 210/310 that easily. They have quite small engine bays.....so even the like of SR and KA are a tight fit.I know you can fit a CA18 in one without cutting the firewall, but not sure if you have to cut the transtunnel bigger or not

I havnt seen a VG in a 1600 in person either, but have talked to people that have done it, and "told" me there was no cutting involved.

But as you know, noone does things the same as everyone else, so depending on how you go about it, you may/may not need to cut anything.

I dont know how easy it is for you guys to get CA18's over there....but they're a great motor, and nice and small so easier to fit.175HP factory and easy to get more out of them.

if you wanted a V6, then I'd say youd be better going for a VG30ET from a Z31....( the single cam ones ), as they're a lot narorower than the twin cam VG's, and still make good power and torque.
