Internally balanced and forged. Stock bottom end is said to be able to take 25+ of boost. Pretty durable if you ask meZWHEELMAN wrote:Would you say a VG30DE is a good or durable motor? If yes what makes them good or durable motors?

Well they are less likely to have a piston problem or something in the heads thats related to lubrication. If you push this motor at all, boosted or not, the bottom end is what you have to worry about mechanically since thats its weaker point.PBfrEAk wrote:
Yes only the VG30DE is susceptible to this type of abuse...all other engines are superior!!!
Listen to mtcookson! He is so right! The after market support is twice as strong for the DOHC Vg30DE And the VG30DETT than all the other VG series! Come on do a little research before posting! Im not saying that there is no after market support for the others but the Z engines are at the top of the list as far as tuning companies are concerned due to the money issue! Sales? Ya know!mtcookson wrote:Actually... the VG30E(T) has pretty much no aftermarket support. Most of the stuff for them is custom or done by Z31 enthusiasts. They don't have near the support the DOHC VG's do at least.
