Ok so I have a vg30de out of a 94 j30 in my 240 now, it has starting smoking and leaking oil headgasket could be gone. I was planing on putting a vg30det motor in it but am having to much trouble with the wiring so I have decided to take a vg30dett block that has been balanced to rev to 8500+ and put the de head on it and then use the det exhaust manifolds to turbo it. I have just read that the detts and de's have the oval exahaust ports where the det's have round or vise versa. So will the det's exhaust manifolds work? I have heard of dett guys using them when they get to high hp numbers to convert to one turbo, didn't know if this is true or if machining would be nessecary.
Providing all the above fit together mechanically I need to know a good system to tune my j30 ecu, or maybe a place that does good chip tunes.
