VG30 in S13 with J30 mounts?

the last couple weeks i've been searching for a decent KA24E to replace my blown one but i can't seem to find one around here that is reasonably priced. however, i've come across a few VG30ET's listed online in junkyards that are cheaper than i've found a KA for so i researched to see if anyone has put one in an S13. i found that mattback on these forums has/is but used a bunch of custom stuff to get his in. i also read that the J30 is similar to the S13 chassis-wise and that the J30 crossmember/mounts can be used in an S13 to mount a VG. does anyone here know if this is true? oh and if mattback reads this, are you still interested in making up a kit to mount a VG in an S-chassis like you were talking about a few months ago? thanks

j30 is nothing like an s13, they are much closer to s14s, however i am 99% sure the j30 crossmember is much like a z32 crossmember.

z32 crossmember / rack will not go into the 13 /14 chassis without heavy modification and spacers.

been there tried that don't work.

as well as you would have to convert to a front sump etc to make it work j30s are much different from rwd 300zx's.

sorry to bring this up, but im trying to figure out the best way to go about this without donating thousands of dollars to my local machine shop.

ok, you said the j30 uses a front sump? if so, does that mean i can bolt a rb26 using the front sump oil pan it comes with, and just remove the front differential?

also, anybody make motor mounts to bolt the rb26 to the vg30 crossmember?
