Busy replacing the VG30 in my Hardbody with a Jap VG30.

Dizzy cap on my motor reads 123456 (plug leads are top exit) but the jap motor cap's firing order is 162435 (side exit plug leads).

Unfortunatly I did'nt take notice of the plug lead oriantation on the Jap motor when I pulled the intake system off.

Plug lead 1 also was'nt in the same location, so what I have done is marked plug lead 1's location of the jap cap on the body on the dizzy, and then fitted my cap. I've now made my no.1 plug lead the same location as the jap's dizzy cap and plugged it up 123456

Heres pic of jap dizzy cap:

So let me get this straight, You swapped out a usdm motor for a jdm motor.....that clearly has a different mechanical stroke/valve opening set up..... and wired it so it fires when the exhuast valve is open or when there is no fuel in the cyl???????

I bet it runs great.

Gee I woulda probably just bolted on my USDM cap and drove around on 3 cyls.

To tell u the honest truth, the motor runs great. Anyway how can VG30's have differant mechanical stroke/valve opening setups ?

Maybe u just misunderstood my 1st post.
