I know that on my 240 I can block off the coolant lines that goes to the throttle body. Can you do this with the automatic vg30 non turbo? I've got a z32 and i'm curious if it would make connecting all those hoses simpler when I go to put the upper intake manifold back on.

You can remove them and it will likely make it a bit easier to put them on. Really all you have to do is either cap all of the supply and return nipples or just run a longer hose from the supply to the return and that should be that.

One thing to note is that if it gets very cold the throttle plate can kind of freeze in place, which is why the coolant line is there from what I understand. Being in Indiana you should be fine though. I don't think it'll get cold enough there to really do much harm.
