I am looking at a D21 that has a bad V-6....I don't know the year.

I have a '96 NIssan Quest that has a bad front-end...my son turned in front of a transit bus. The motor runs good.

I know that they are basically the same V-6....BUT, the quest was a joint venture between Mercury and NIssan and Mercury specified that it be a Non-Interference motor. Are they interchangeable? If you took the intake and exhaust manifolds, and maybe the waterpump off, could you swap them?

In the D21....is the trans the same between a 4 cylinder and the V6?
