If you can't find the motor at any price, then is the cost really an issue?
GreGS15 wrote:the vg30det uses 2 manifolds and 2 turbos...which equals lots of cash!!
The VG30DET and VG20DET are virtually indistinguishable. Very little is different externally between these two motors.

I think you don't know how to decode Nissan engine information.

VG20DET = VG = V6 = 20 = 2.0L = D = DOHC = E = electronic fuel injection = T = single turbo.
VG30DET = VG = V6 = 20 = 3.0L = D = DOHC = E = electronic fuel injection = T = single turbo.
VG30DETT = VG = V6 = 20 = 3.0L = D = DOHC = E = electronic fuel injection = TT = twin turbo.

I think you need to rethink things. Especially if you plan on upgrading and making more power. You may have saved yourself some initial cost by going with the VG20DET, but you'll end up spending more to get the same amount of power the VG30DET comes with out of the box. And then there's the more raw potential of the 3.0L vs the 2.0L.
