very very bad lag and idel problem..s13 ka stock..

hi hey i have a nighty one 240sx and i just got the ka rebuilt i origanaly wanted to build the ka but ever sence i have had it rebuilt ive had nothing but problems out of it.. it seems like it lags really bad after 4000 rpm and 1-3 isnt that great i get some power out of 3-4 but not what i want.. and my car ideals really bad i replaces alot of small parts and it still just jumps from 1100- 800 .. . ive replaced my tps .sensor ,, its a stock motor i wanted to rebuilt it before i started a build but dont even know what to start at now..

sounds like it may be a timing issue. Perhaps when they did the rebuild they got a cam gear off by one tooth or something. What all was done during the rebuild? Does the ECU give you any codes? To check for codes follow this walkthrough - zerothread?id=253912
