alright...just got done with my swap about 2 months ago and everything was perfect untill 2 days ago...when the motor seems to get to a certain temp it will randomly cut out and fall on its face at different rpm's...usually it is about 4k but on my way home today it wouldnt rev past 1.5k..fuel pressure is steady and i just bought a new fuel pump and a z32 fuel filter...it seems like there is something getting warm and swelling up and plugging up fuel?...has this happened to anyone else?...and also it wont start at all when it starts doing this...when its still cool it will run just fine and start right up...but when its acting up the only way to start it is by push starting it

There is no difference in push starting your car or using the starter. So idk why it would start when you push start it when it's acting up and won't when you use the starter. If it's not revving past 1.5k rpms check your maf sensor

also check and possibly replace ur coolant temp sensor and that is the one runing to the ecu. How to tell which one is which, unless someone else chimes in and tells u which one it is then go by my procedure.

there are two sensors right around the throttle bodyish. sry im too detailed but one is for the ecu and the other is for the gauge cluster. unplug one and see what happens. for instance if the one u unplug makes the temp gauge go dead or wacky then the other one is ur temp sensor to the ecu. If u unplug the ecu sensor and ur car doesnt wanna die or run shatty then that could be ur problem. im no expert jus talking based on experience

Did you change the coolant temp sensor as recommended?

Your starter might also be bad... one of the signs of a bad starter is not working when hot... believe me I lived with this problem for a while.

good luck

ive heard that the one for the ecu has two wires coming out of the sensor and the one for the gauge cluster only has one coming out.

i would check this though, and ur MAF

seriously MR. the temp sensor could be your problem.

Let me explain how.

The ecu temp sensor sends coolant readings to the ecu, the ecu acts on faulty or high readings so based on your problem, like you said it runs fine when its cool but when it warms up it acts up.That sounds sorta like that sensor.i mean its like 10 bucks at adavanced, just try it...

Can he use one of the ka or the 93 sentra models...anybody know?

i dont know about it being the sensor...it warms up to thr right temp and runs fine...but it seems when bay temps get up there it gradually revs lower and lower before it will fall on its face during accel

Have you really checked anything that some of the guys are suggesting? Not trying to sound like a prick but you keep asking if anyone has an idea and when they shoot you one. You pretty much shoot it down Have you checked the MAF or ECU sensor as people have said?

i was also wondering if the check engine light had to be on for my ecu to be throwing codes

The sensors are above and to the right of the throttle body a bit inwards.

You could use the KA coolant temp sensor. Run it unpluged, see if it makes a difference. Try cleaning the maf too.

Never hurts to grab another KA maf and wire it up.
