okay here goes.. while i am new to S13's i am not new to working on cars i thought id clear that up right away.. when i first purchased the car the previous owner said that he had recently had a new cluth installed, well after purchasing it i redlined it in 1st gear, nailed 2nd and the clutch would slip a little.now at this time the purge tank was still inline with the hydrolic clutch system and my theory was that it hadnet been bled properly becuase of that, it also had a pretty sloppy pedal feel and the pedal didnt return as quickly as i thought it should..
i recently purchased a stainless line, bypassed the purge tank and installed a new slave cylinder, bled ti all out, same problem
i than noticed a little bit of a squishing noise comming from the master cylinder when i pushed the pedal in, and a small amount of fluid on the firewall, okay now im thinking that its bad.. replaced that, bled it, still slips on the upshift, though the pedal feel has greatly improved.
the only thing is that i can downshift as hard as i want and it grabs hard, ive even chirped the rear tires on a hard downshift... it ONLY slips on an UPSHIFT and when i have it running hard.
the only thing that i have left to me now is that when the clutch was installed with the bad master cylinder, and POSSIBLY not being bled properly smoked the clutch, but like i said i can downshift as hard as i want and the clutch grabs just fine...
any other theories.. im open to anything, ill be contacting the former owner mon. as i still have his telephone # and find out what shop did it.. hell for all i know they just put a new disc in and never machined the flywheel, thanks again, sorry for the long *** post
