Just joined the site and thought a Hi to all would be appropriate.
Last Frontier had died when son borrowed it and he made it home, but the truck didn't.

Maybe this time, when I work on my new one, I'll have a place to go for questions, opinions or ideas.

Welcome to NICO!
Glad your son was/is alright and that the Frontier died doing its job! Did it have a ton of miles on it before giving up, or did it die protecting your son in an accident?
Congrats on the new truck!!

It had 172,850 so she was still good.
But she passed from this world protecting him.
Only problem he had was being shaken up.
I will say when I went to get him, his eyes were still wide open like you see deer eyes in the headlights.

She had a very hard and quick death. When they towed her away, she was starting to look like the letter L. But our son was unhurt. So even though this new one is of the same breed, a Frontier, it's not the same. I've had many vehicles over my lifetime, but it's funny how after a bit if time, it's like a favorite pair of gloves. You put them on and it's a natural and normal feeling. Then when you try on a new pair, the feeling is definitely different ... never the same.

Welcome aboard!

I understand the "new gloves" feeling. You'll get along great with most of the members here as they share that same mentality about most of Nissan's products in general. Ha!
