Okay I have two problems:1.) My car when having constant throttle around 2K RPM jolts and shuttters until i give it a little more gas...then it goes away cimpletely2.) Sometimes when cruising, my Overdrive Light flashes, my car turns overdrive off, and then returns back to its original state of being on.

My car: 1991 Nissan 240sx SE Fastback

Any suggestions or ideas?

Could be a number of things.. My has a habit of doing it when its cold..if i let it warm up before i drive it...which i always try to... It runs fine... but Cold its the same way.. Possibly ignition trouble... Mass air flow possibly... on 240s...its always the mass air flow it seems.. On the Overdrive light... Mine does it when i unhook the little sensor on the driver side... Forgot exactly what it is.. check the FAQ for some help.

Is the idle erratic/high? Mine has a similiar problem. Sometimes if it's idling high and hestitating, I'll stop and pop the hood. If I wiggle the harness, especially near the #2 fuel injector it goes away.

It sounds like you guys need to clean your wiring harness connectors. Go buy some contact cleaner and clean your TPS sensor conection also make sure you clean your engine temp sensor conection. Clean out every conection you can find. Alot of these problems will go away.

Also if your car is older than 6 years. I'd replace th 02 sensor.

My daughter's 1989 240 is having a similar overdrive problem. Only after the light quit flashing, the car will not go into overdrive. A Nissan service guy tells me there is not relay. Does any one have a suggestion.

I would look at the ECU for the transmission.
