20" rims for 2 grand... not a bad price to be honest. But I'd never wreck the look of a tasteful sedan with those. I'd resell them locally, take the profit.

does that spoiler look wack to anyone else? Plus 20" wheels are ghetto. Most people buying 20s for they car end up living in a shack because they spend their 2 grand yearly paycheck on the wheels.

Do you have facts to back up that statement?

lol...i was being sarcastic seeing as MOST people with 20s have them on escalades and navigators and other 50k cars.

But seriously when i see a car thats like 20 years old with paint rusted off and has 20s on it i just laugh because, why not just buy a different car rather then spend 2k on wheels?

the spoiler isnt right though...they dont lift off on the edges like that...the edge of the spoiler runs directly into the trunk.

seveal notes:

agreed, spoiler does not appear to be stock

tires:

the overall diameter of that wheel/tire package is significantlylarger than stock, the speedo will easily be off by 6.3%.

tires will wear like nothing else due to suspension geometry not designed to accomodate that size of a wheel/tire package.

You can basically say whatever you want about some one elses car but the bottom line is personal taste, some people could care less about speedometer being off or about the tires wearing quicker, or even the spoiler not looking factory, it sounds like if you guys had it your way we would all be driving around in stock vehicles with no personality, Its all about being different, if the trend currently is big rims then so be it, I dont know why you would say that it is ghetto! Please describe this term for me so I understand better, also a old 70s Cutlass or any other american Iron with dubs or larger is nothing new, wether you know it or not americas top hot rod builders and tuners have been doing it way before it became GHETTO, check this link out and you will see what im talking about http://www.billetwheel.com/gallery.html, this guy is one of the top hot rodders in the world and if you look you will see that the trend is large rims, http://www.billetspecialties.c...ID=35 bottom line is everyone is different, not all taste are the same, if some one on this list wants to put dubs on his/her J30 then do it up, Im saving for 20s for the Q, and I cant wait for you to call me ghetto, enjoy your cars and dont worry if the other guys speedo is off, have a great day :)

It is still your choice, so how does it make it ghetto, your explanation sounds ignorant, I paid $1500 for one of the cleanest Q`s and most well maintaned around, , so I guess im ghetto because my rims cost more than the Q, or because my back windshield cost almost as much as the car, if it is your intent to restore a vehicle then however much you put into does not matter, people should not worry so much about what the other person is doing, if this was practiced the world would be a better place, If you want to discuss this further then lets not take up list space, Email me, if not then this discussion is over, I got my point across so have a nice day.

I think oversized wheels distract from the sleekness of the J30 profile.

it will be one thousand dollars (almost exactly) every time those tires require replacement, which will actually be quite frequent due to the compounds used on the only tires that come in that size: ultra high performance Z+ rated.

I think thats why they look good on SUVs and Devilles, which have no sleekness to begin with.
