Very low MPT

Hi. I own a 90 240 and I'm lucky to get 200 miles per tank. Now you can be the worst stick driver in the world and not manage something that low. My question is what would cause that and how to fix it? I cleaned my MAFS, hooked my car up to a scanner and everything was running normal, my O2 sensor is fine, my EGR is fine, everything it fine. Any ideas?

try no to shift at 6900 rpm and also dont downshift. I have noticed that when I downshift alost my mileage go out the door.

I don't have a lead foot. I don't go past 4k RPM and I don't downshift either. Currently I'm at 60 miles and and at 1/2 tank. Something is wrong.

City driving? I'd think that's not too bad, figuring Vengeance is correct. If that's on the highway, I got nothing to offer ... kind of makes me wornder why I posted???

take it to a shop and have them look at it... shouldn't cost much, especially if you just ask them to look it over when you get an oil change or something...

maybe it has something to do with the new **** gas we have here in CA

i just got a new short block on my celica(melted the piston which was damaged when my stock fuel pump died) and im getting 23mpg, which is what i got when the car had a turbo installed

Well my dad owns a shop that I work at and we havn't found anything as of now. Like I said our scanner said everything was normal and there are no vacuum leaks. The car does run a tad rich, but not enough to make such a drastic change. Anyway, just thought I'd post to see if any of you had the same sort of thing happening. Oh well, thanks anyway~

my car gets about 230 mpt city driving... but having the exhaust and intake and not speeding.. i am going to see what I can get... plus I drive 3 people to school everyday as well..

I get 320 city all the time. I shift at about 3k-3500, and I downshift when slowing down all the time. :wiggle I suggest a new air filter, new fuel filter, maybe new O2 sensor.

how many gallons do you put in when u fill up on an empty tank? even tho the gas gauge may read E there can still be a decent amount of fuel left

Im gettin barely 200 miles on an almost full tank too, but thats cuz the weather here is like -15 degrees w/ wind chill, at least i pray.

yeh, when its like on "E" or near "E" and I go to fill it completely up.. they put liek 11 gallons in there.. so that must mena i got like 6 more gallons left.
