Hi. I have an opportunity to buy a 93 with 43k miles. The seller got it a year ago with 38k. After he got it he "felt a low speed stumble". He ended up having 100k service at the local dealer, replaced transmission with a rebuilt unit, replaced MAF with an ebay item, also had cam position sensor replaced and some other misc stuff he has reciepts for but I can't remember. Since this car's milage was that low after 13 years, and these items have been repaired or replaced, I am on one hand thinking it's a steal at the $6000 asking price (negotiated down from $8000) and on the other hand wondering if it's the next money pit I'll fall into. I am looking for a daily driver and I have always loved these. Has anyone else had a low milage after this long j30? Advise requested please. Thanks, Jim

are you sure it's not 143,000?

with that many things replaced at such low mileage...is the interior that clean?

Yup. Very sure. I forgot to mention that I called the Infinity dealer's service manager who backed up the sellers info. Interior is near perfect. The 100k was done due to age of car. transmission was done due to gummed up internals. Other items replaced to fix low speed stumble. Thanks for your reply.

A low mile 93 is still a 93 and is almost 14 years old. Just don't think that it'll be trouble free just because it's low miles. Sounds like it's had it's share of problems already.

i dont know abought the price but i am in canada ,and got mine at a kia dealer for 1000 and taxes and it only had 120000klms ht e interior was a little worn but clean and no rips anywhere!! all i had to replace was the rear brakes, and some other general maintance like plugs, ect!!!so i think 6000us is steep!!!!

Most definatly. Maby if you could suply us with som epics, and ect. we coul dhelp you out. i go tmy J30 three years ago with 77k miles on it for like 5,000. I would also probibly sell it for 3,500 or 4000 after i replaced the OEM parts. ( ps im not looking to sell im going wear this j down !).

If the vehicles hasn't been driven much expect some "metal fatigue", as you drive it daily, things will start to break due to previous lack of use.

I bought my 93 J last August and it had only 47k. If the car is clean and rides fine, and is in great mechanical condition, go for it! I paid $4000 for mine and haven't had a single problem out of the car and I drive it every day. You'll never find another luxury car that nice for that price. Trust me.

Seems way to much, as a "pristine" Q45 (the J30's bigger brother) would be hard pressed to bring that much $$.

Search a little more and don't be afraid of mailes as long as you have the car inspected by a Certified Infiniti Tech. If any potential seller is not comfortable with you having the car inspected by Certified Infiniti Tech, you do not want to buy the car.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Thanks to all, great input. I knew this would be the place to ask about it.
