very low compression ..need new engine or rebuild?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i have a ka24de and its got 140 in each cylinder it a little worn it have 202k miles on it need to kno if neone have an engine to sell

If this is not your daily driver and you have a place to work, rebuild your current engine.

ive heard if you put some oil into the cylinder then do a compression test, if the numbers read higher, its the rings or cylinder walls. if its still low, it'll be the valves.

if anyone can valiadate that procedure, you should try that to narrow down what it could be.

yea 140 isnt real low,, but i heard from numerous times that u shouldnt turbo your car unless ur at a compression of 150. but rebuilding is the best route, get some bad *** internals and boost the hell out of it.
