Hey Everyone,

Im looking for instructions on how to get to the blower behind the passenger airbag or somewhere in that area in a 2003 I35. It works quitely most of the time but when i accelerate it starts whining like a wounded rhino. I think its dislocated and its rubbing against its gate. ANyone have the same issue? Thanks in advance...

Check page 30 of this section of the FSM for diagrams and documentation on removing the dash.

Does changing the blower speed have any effect on the noise?I ask because it seems odd that acceleration would affect the blower like that.

its clear to me now that acceleration causes slight torsion or displacemnt if u will of the cars frame therefore affecting the distance btw the ventilator and its housing ...causing it to make a rubbing noise. today i took an on ramp at a higher than usual speed and the body roll cuased the blower to start whining. I just hope its smth i can handle myself....thanks for the link...

Does the blower make noises when both on heat and A/C mode?
