Why don't you ever make an effort to try and answer a person's question? I think it's safe to say, that no one cares about irrelevant "factoids" you respond with. It's okay to not know the answer to questions asked.Q45tech wrote:Capacitor quality and temperature range vs age have improved dramatically in 20 years.Replacement [with better specs] of all capacitors in a 20 year old vehicle [or home stereo amplifier] is always worthwhile.
My first expiences with this occurred in mid 60's when I repaired vacuum tube radios................after the first/2nd set of tubes burned out we always replaced the power supply capacitors because of hum and buzzing.......depending on the radios location in a room........near the HOT coal stove heater faster failure.
Pretty much a miracle that things last 20 years considering the low cost nature of automobiles and the temperature range they encounter.
That is one of the most ignorant posts I have read in a while on NICO. Without Q45tech there is not Q45 section in my opinion.seldomseen wrote:
