Very Loud Clicking Noise from behind A/C control panel

I've recently started to have thisvery loud clicking sound coming from the A/C control panel wwwhen ever I turn the igniton key on (whether its running or not) unless I have the A/C turn on. Doesn't matter whether its the economy or regular button. But... if its not on it sounds like a relay is ramming right into the back of the consol. I was even scared enough to believe it was my air back getting ready to deploy at first. Any info is more thyan welcomed. I have a 2001 Pathfinder built in 6 of 2001.

Does it click whether circulation is on or off? Try running the A/C diagnostics described on page HA-37 of the factory service manual and report your results.
